Ride 37 - Saturday Miss B goes to Covington

OK - I led my first ride with my biking Group - C4 (Covington Conyers). We had 5 riders in total. One woman came whom I am riding with tomorrow in the Wilson century (we wil be doing the metric) and another rider who looks like he is ready for an Iron Man - He actually just got a gorgeous FELT bike...and was zooming up and down the hills - and coming back to check on me as I pedalled up the hills, it was nice to have some encouragement as i trudge up the hills. It seemed like a tough ride - mainly I think cause we went faster that usual.

(41.85+ miles -started the mileage counter a little late...at 3 hours 29 seconds ride time approx avg 13.87 mph. My goal is to eventually hit 15 mph avg!)

Ok off to rest up for tomorrow!

OK - And just as an FYI - I am reading Heft on Wheels - Absolutely fabulous! If you have not read it - that's it stop right now go buy it on Amazon!! That's a Bumble Bee order.

Riding faster then usual...I would talk to the group leader about that

Heft on Wheels a real inspiration. I think about him, when I am trudging up a long hill.

It won't be long before you look BACK at fifteen and wonder why it ever seemed so far away. With the kind of mileage you are putting in, 15 is probably closer than you think.

Keep up the good work!
