Finally bought my bike
Been stalking around here for a while now. Going to ride in the Ride for a cure in august in Vermont. Decided it was time to buy my bike. After going to several shops i narrowed it down to 2. The specialized roubaix and the giant ocr c3. Both were on sale. I ended up going with the Giant OCr c3. Was fitted to it last weekend and seems to be pretty comfortable. Cant wait to get on the bike and start training. Whats everyones opinion about this bike?

It's a great bike. It will pretty much do anything you want it to do, except plow snow

I ride a Giant OCR Limited and 
my bike !! IMHO, I'm not a big fan of reflectors, but then again, I don't ride at night. I recommend getting the wheels serviced (trued & retensioned) after a few hundred miles. This will go a long way in preventing broken spokes & prolong wheel life.Enjoy your Tour de Cure ride. This will be my 3rd year and each one is more fun than the previous year.

I took my reflectors off of the wheels and the rear. My rear saddle has a a reflective strip around it and if I ever ride at night I have a rear light that clips onto that.

I have a Roubaix. I didn't try the Giant. What made you choose the Giant over the Roubaix?

Yes lose all reflectors, and the dork disc on the back wheel if your LBS already hasn't. When you take pics, take it of the drivetrain side preferably against a white garage door.

well got the bike!! love it, went for a short ride today. Shoes and trainer are out of stock so they will be in next weekend. Mite the tires look a little flat while i am riding to do me being on it or do i need a bigger tire?

what disc on the back wheel? as for choosing the giant over the rubaix. Both bikes felt the same, rode the same fitted alike, personal preference was in the shop. The place i bought from treated me better.

The tires I'm guessing are probably 700x25. They should be fine. (I'm 245ish & ride on 23s) Get a good floor pump and before each ride inflate to the recommended pressure on the sidewall.

+1 you would be shocked at how much tire pressure you lose. after a long ride it is not unusual for me to lose 10-15 psi from my back tire, less on front tire. two or three rides without checking tire pressure and your running on 60psi and destroying tire prematurely
