    Spoke breakage: Drive or nondrive side

    I've posted this over in Touring but I thought I'd gather information here too.

    If you've broken a spoke, which side have you broken more often? Drive side or nondrive side?

    I've never broken anything but drive side spokes.

    Both, but on a 22 year old wheel.
    on light duty due to illness; please contact my assistants for forum issues. They are Siu Blue Wind, or CbadRider or the other 3 star folk. I am currently at home recovering from a couple of strokes. I am making good progress, happily.

    Drive side spokes have greater tension, so I would guess they'd break more. This has been my personal experience.

    my factory rim took me only 1400 miles till the drive side started popping. i need to be less poor so i can buy new rims
