Drillium--Clyde style

Although I am no longer losing weight, I still find the need to get out the old craftsman drill today and add yet another hole to my old fat belt to make if fit(#6). I guess I turned a little fat to muscle. It is a fashion disaster, to be sure, but I still use it with work clothes--badge of honor.

Anyone else like to throw on the old fat clothes once in a while, just to remember how much you left on the road? I have an old shirt that could easily fit 2 people (that one is just too big to wear anywhere).

I kept a shirt and a pair of jeans for about a year. I took a picture with my daughter who is 5'10" in the shirt with me and her head is out of the neck of the shirt also. I finally gave it up and let them throw it away. I gave away about $1500.00 in dress clothes away to Good Will and the Salvation Army at one time. I am still losing inches but still stuck at 235. I am at a 32" waist, but still have a lot of fat around that part of my body, so I have a ways to go yet. I also through my belts away, and I use the clasp style of belts, similar to what the army uses, but mine are black or tan and their's are olive green. It really is a nice feeling though, I really know what you mean.

Fashion disaster or not keep the belt. It is a trophy that follows your journey even if only you understand it.

I gave away most of my "fat" clothes as I lost weight. I only kept a belt, which I've made functional by adding holes, and underwear, which was too small to begin with and so fits better now. A friend has helped me out by giving me some clothes he was getting rid of when HE lost weight.

Congratulations! I hope to be there in a year myself.

By the way, fat can not be 'turned into muscle'. Two different types of tissue altogether - however, you can TRADE fat (burn it off) for muscle (added mass as muscles get used and strength is increased).

I know it is nit-picky but hey, I'm bored. And again, kudos to you in a big way for your accomplisment.

Typical Browns fan... WHO DEY? (well, almost anyone, this year)

Seriously, good luck in your quest to lose fat and/or gain muscle.

"Browns fan"? And a "typical" one at that? Ouch!

I think NOT. I guess I just never 'got' what the hoopla is about...

So, I'm not into the NFL - NHRA (National Hot Rod Association)? Yes!!!

Yes, I was kidding of course. I knew you were not a Browns fan, since you had already demonstrated the ability to read. Football is just about the vicarious thrill of a competition, and unresolved tension, like a thriller movie. The team represents your town, and therefore you. Throw in 50,000 other people of like mind, add beer, and 'woohoo!'. I imagine you get the same from Drag racing, but it doesn't do it for me.
