Ride 49 - 80 Miles! Oh My!

OK - YAY - Had a blast at the Tony Serrano Century - I rode for 80 miles! wow. Amazing really - and not all that difficult. The day started with my pump not working and the bike falling over - and then at rest stop 1 I tried to fix the seat (it was not straight). So when I went to tighten it... I hear a crack... So I broke the thingy that holds the seat on - the seat clamp (I over tightened it I believe). Somehow it held and I was able to finish the ride. I have a friend going to get it replaced since I am away all week and have my BRAGFEST 3-day bike weekend when I get back.

I rode with 3 people all are faster than me..and 1 guy in particular tries to push me to go faster...so I did...the other guy - pushes me to go slower and save my energy...and then my friend Carol is just a good strong rider that goes at whatever pace she feels like.. so between the 3 of them - I drafted at times, I was challenged at times, i rode slower at times... but it was a blast!!!

OK - The speed you ask? well - 15 MPH AVG... Unreal... That is awesome for me... to many/most of you that 's slow to me that is absurdly fast - WHOOOSH!

Great ride!
Distance 80.24 (Zoomed around the school's large parking lot to get the mileage to show 80 not 78 )
Ride Time 6:24:06 min
Total Time with rest stops and breaks: 5:08:09
Avg Speeed 15mph
Max Speed 33.9 (pretty flat course all in all)
Avg Pulse 153
Max pulse 180 (on ahill)
Calorie 3464 (Someone offered to meet me at a great Mexican place to celebrate (since i had burned so many caoliores and they knwo I love the chips and slasa) - but I said no....must restrain as I have the Biggest Loser weigh in tomorrow!!)
Cad Avg 71

Next up - 3 day Bragfast with a 100 miler on Saturday... Stay Tuned.
