Another El Tour de Tucson report

Here's a few more photos from th 35 mile El Tour event. My husband and I arrived at the start early and got this backdrop shot before most of the riders showed up.

Once the riders got there, we moved to the back as I didn't want to be in the way. This was my first ride and I figured the more people I had in front of me to watch, the more I'd learn!

Here I am crossing the finish line, and yes, that is a grimmace. My shoes weren't up to the task and I'll be looking into clipless soon, too.

All in all, it was a great experience and I'm already looking forward to my next ride. Maybe the 67 mile event in next year's El Tour? Or the 70 mile Tour of the Tucson Mountains in April?

Or the Tour de Phoenix - I really enjoyed that one (even with a pulled calf and mis-counting the number of hills - meaning I had forgotten the third hill. . .DOH!)

Congrats! And you'll enjoy your clipless when you get them. . .make sure to post your falling-over story! We all have them!
