Get home by 1 am on weekdays, leads to much more healthful existence. 5 days at the gym. Lose 2 pounds. Actually stick to diet.

Goals:
First, no riding until my knee heals. My seat slipped a little and I'm hurting as a result. Make sure your bike is fitted correctly! Once it stops hurting, ride. I can't wait! I love it.
Second, I haven't been drinking enough water the last few days. So back to that.
Continue to manage portions. This is the hardest thing for me.

Goals for the week, same as last week except for the weight.
1) Current Weight: 256, Goal Weight: 254.5
2) Go to the gym twice, including Spinning class on Wed.
3) 10 miles on the bike
4) Cut smoking to 6-7 per day.

Here we go again. After a week of sickness, I am trying to pick up again and start working out. I have to make room this week for the coming holiday, so let's get started.

Hey Blazer, we're both at the same weight, maybe we can use each other for a bit of motivation? What is your ultimate goal weight?

Thanks for the welcome.
I do try to be ungrumpy and my do something else then come back and proofread my post before hitting submit often times leads to no post which is probably a good thing May be why I post so little on Clyde/Athena vrs others.

That is indeed a hotly debated item in my house. My wife says 260 and eventually someday I'd love to be sub 200. After lengthy debate recently I have agreed to set a goal of maintaining 239- before 2/14/09 (my version of 240). Maybe I'll post that thread I tried this morning in the form of a poll for what should my goal weight be
Of course if my BP gets low enough and they pull me off the water pill I'll probably gain an instant 10lbs

My goals are a little odd this week but, they do relate to cycling. My washing machine's motor died recently and I just don't have the money to replace it. There's a laundromat nearby, but all those quarters add up pretty quickly. I've also found that the more I get into living simply, the less I actually want to replace it.

So, my goals for this week are to find or build a hand powered clothes washer, and attach a bike to my busted washer like this guy did. http://homelessdave.com/hdwashingman.htm This will let me use the spin cycle instead of a wringer to remove water between hand washing, rinsing, and drying.

Disclaimer: I've seen the same thing on a few different sites. So, I'm not sure if he's the one who actually built it, but his site has a video and a list of loads per month. I don't remember seeing either one of those on the other sites.

Hello!

Newbie here! Been following this thread for a few weeks, finally decided to join in. Nothing beats the success stories on here, great motivation!

My story: Im 22, 5'9 and am the heaviest ive been in my life at 172. Gained a lot of weight in college, that flowing beer river will get ya!

-My goal is to eventually get down to the 158-160 range-

I actually started a weight loss bet with my roomate so that will give me extra motivation, as well as posting on here to keep me accountable!

Started 11/12- 172

11/17- 168

Goals this week: - Start off on a good leg for my triathlon training. eg: Follow routine!

- Try eating eggs. (dont like the taste but need to find good recipe)

- At least 2 sessions of HIIT.

- Lose more weight than my roomate by this coming sunday!

I really hope the weather gets better, it's been raining all week and then today, although it is dry, it's in the thirties. I've been missing riding, but not enough to turn into a popsicle for recreational purposes.

Why eggs? I don't much like them either and avoid them unless I'm baking. There are plenty of better sources for protein, if that's what you're looking for.

Personally, nothing beats a bit of french toast with some powdered sugar, maybe a little maple syrup. That's the only egg heavy recipe I use, and only rarely at that. I make a mean omelet too, but I can't even remember the last time I had one.

I'm pretty sure chocolate chip cookies have eggs in them. oops, guess thats not a good option is it?

Although not sure which is worse, french toast and maple syrup or cookies.
