Riding partner wanted...Fair Oaks, CA
Hi, I'm looking for a riding partner to ride the American river trail or around lake Natomas. I'm a clydsedale that on a good day can average 15-16 mph. But for longer rides (20 plus) my avg goes down to about 14. I would like to find someone a little faster than me to train with. Thanks Doug

Fair Oaks? You're fairly near me! I'm in Rancho Cordova. I'm not a Clyde any longer, but I'll be happy to make you work if you want a workout. I'm planning a 40 mile ride with a reasonable amount of climbing (approx 1500 feet, with one extended 9% grade) on Saturday morning/early afternoon. Sunday afternoon, a shorter slower ride on the ARBT.

I just moved FROM Rancho Cordova to OH back in August and didn't get into cycling until I moved here. I'm jealous of the wonderful weather I've been hearing about back home. I will be home for Christmas, but I will be bikeless.

Thanks Joel. I ride a 58. My family is actually in Placerville and that's where I will be staying, plus it will be a short and busy trip and I doubt I will have time to ride while I'm there. If I take a longer trip that direction in the spring or something, I will definitely look you up. Thanks again.

I don't have a bike big enough for you anyway. Though there is a shop in Folsom (Bikes Plus) that rents bikes. I'm sure they'll have one. Maybe we can hook up for some riding another time.
