Finally have enough time to exercise again. Get to the gym 4 times (In 3 states), re-instate diet.

I won't be weighing myself for 2 weeks, since I'll be on travel over the holidays. But, I hope to exercise consistently, start running again, and shed 3 pounds over the next 3 weeks.

Ride somewhere (actually thinking about getting studded tires for TEXAS!?! so I can ride too much ice and I don't want excuses available not to ride when I want to)

So guys here's the update...the Bee is not doing as well with the food...and it's hard because I am the instigator (pretty much) for this thread. The issue:

Chipotle- BAD CHOICE!!
Food at Meetings - STAY AWAY
SUBWAY - Must go back...!!!

Anyhoo - I betcha I am gianing weight this week too. I think I may hit some group support meetings and change things up a bit.

I got my 2 trainer rides in. Glad about that. 55 minutes each one at high resistance to mimic hill climbing. Legs and lungs are getting stronger.

Evening, I have not really been following these threads lately, but must say you folks are doing great. I am down 17.6 lbs over the last 9 weeks which is keeping me on track to lose 2 lbs a week.

Some things I have learned over the last nine weeks.

1. I must eat to lose wight. Being 600-900 short will not allow me to lose weight. Try and keep my calorie shorts to under 250.
2. Catalog my food and understand what I am eating and how it effects my weight loss.
3. Drink a minimum of 64 oz of water a day.
4. If I am going to put in a lot of miles in the saddle, I must eat to cover the calories burned.
5. When in the gym, limit cardio to 25 to 35 mins and hit the weights.
6. Changed my nutrition percentages to 50% Carb, 30% proteins and 20% fats.
7. Not to be so rigid in my calories, I might work out harder some days, so if I have 2400 calories one day and 1800 the next it's not big deal as longer as I am consistent for the week and stay in my 50/30/20 breakout.
8. Finally, have fun with my workouts and don't stress if I gain some weight one week, it was probably just some sodium retaining some water.

Weather in Seattle making it hard to get outside. Spent a lot time in the trainer in week 11 so 12 should be more of the same. Also Week 12 Cressey Maximum Strength. I have no idea what my weight is but my body has been changing shape since I started this thing. Why stop now?

OK Quick update - It's clear I am not the Biggest loser this week - back up to 186. Big dinner last night - it was fun but not very good for the diet.

This just sounds so wrong! But my calorie intake was up this week and I lost weight....so there's clearly some truth to this. I've made a point to have a generous breakfast to help keep temptation at bay during the day. I expected to plateau during the holidays due to the extra at breakfast and a couple treats during the day but I've actually lost almost a pound this week. Whoda thunkit?

Anyway, here's the week's stats:

Wt. 164.5

Rides: 2 rides to the base of Mt. Lemmon and around and about the neighborhood. DD went with on one ride and commented on how everyone passed us. The mountain attracts a different bunch of riders than we meet on the paths, that's for sure.

Exercise: Did two 50 min videos with handwts, one included moderate step aerobic intervals. Time goes faster biking, I've noticed.

OK Let' s review the goals
Gained weight
Night eating - niot my biggest issue this week
No weights - oh dear!! I think I am so tempted to just hit cardio hard and think the weight will come off easlier. But I think adding weights would definitley be a goid thing!
Did not go to an OA mtg.

OK _ No wonder I gained this week. I think it's good to review the goals and see the issues.

Weigh in: 148.

I did a pretty good job on my goals, but I didn't drink enough water the last couple of days.

Weigh In: 266.0

Goal status: Did 3 spin classes, only one weight training however. Made my weight goal.

I found out that Eggnog has high-frutcose corn syrup in it, except the organic variety which costs more than twice as much So I didn't buy any this week, made that goal. I think I'm going to make it home-made later this week.

I forgot to post my goals last week, but they are basically the same weekly. No eating after 6 pm, or meals out of the house seems to have been a good thing this week.

Previous weight: 171
Current weight: 166
Plus / Minus: -5

Down 0.4 so not a whole pound--still, at least I didn't gain. Between the ice, step-daughter custody, long hours at work, and the daily 20lbs of sweets my co-workers have been bringing I didn't meet almost any of my goals this week. I only cycled to work 3 days so all 75 of my miles for the week were on a sugar high.
