Ride 61 - 65 degrees in December WOW!

A gorgeous day in the ATL> Between 64 and 70 degrees. The ride club posted a ride for today led by somone I did not know...and I would likely be the only C rider - would be yours truly. So I asked for a Cue sheet and off I went. We met in Covington - and rode about 40 miles. The ride leader helps out at project Adventure..so we bought a small gift for the kids. (The organization helps at risk kids:
https://www.projectadventurekids.org/about.html).

Anyway the picture below is of me and the ride organizer - a nice college student who volunteers at Project Adventure. And the other pic is of evryone on our ride today. Sorry they are a tad blury - used the camera phone.

OH - Bike computer still onthe fritz so rely on a friends bike - 40.3 miles 15.5 AVG and some nice hills! YOWZA!! I think riding with the big boys made me try harder.

Also, I'm a bit jealous: we started our ride this morning at 8:10am in 34-degree temps. In SoCal! Amazing. High for today is supposed to be 62-degrees or so. Tomorrow's supposed to be much nicer: 65-degrees.

I dream about cycling now. Today the temp was -17 celsius. There is tons of yucky snow everywhere and having any exposed skin means your skin is going to hate you. And it is still autumn - ick!

I'm thinking about hibernating until April.

Thank goodness the swimming pool is heated or else I may not get much more exercise.

10" of fresh snow outside, followed by 3-6" more in the morning that then switches over to freezing rain and sleet. We took our little boys sledding this morning - tough to do that in SoCal
