Highest Monthly Total?

All this talk about monthly mileage, figure I'll throw this one in too!

From Day one, the 1st, to the last month, the 31st, what has been your biggest month?

I like to keep it from the 1st to the 31st just to keep the records straight like they do in Bikejournal or centruy a month challenge, so what you got?

Mine was 960 in one month. That was in 05 when I had my highest yearly total of 7300 for the year.

around 50. LOL. It was a couple of months ago, when I first started, and then my bike broke.

Still working on getting the bike back together, but hopefully soon, when I get my first pay check at my new job I'll get my new wheels and be back in action

i'd like to try for 500 miles this month, it is gonna be tough but 150 miles a week seems manageable. I have off 4 days a week, I can easily do 30 miles on each of those days. Usually I do one 60 mile ride and a few smaller aka 30-45 mile rides on the other three days.

Wow, that's some pretty serious riding. If I had that time, I'd do a century on one day and take off tee next!

June 2008 - 658 July 2008 - 622 September 2008 - 620. I got kinda crazy this summer, consistently.

Dunno if I could pull it off again, that was a LOT of time in the saddle. I'm going to imagine May of this year will be more due to ramping up for Kanza, but I'm still not going to track! Not even for bragging rights!

(Maybe not..)

I've had a 1450 mile month.

Of course, it was 20 years ago and I weighed about 155, was "stuck" in Hawaii going to school, and was a serious Road Nazi.

Just topped 1,000 in one month earlier this year (like 1,050 or something). One of my "unmentioned-cause-I-don't-like-to-be-held-accountable" goals for this year is to have more of these thousand-mile months.

737 in November 08. Finished over 7,000 for 2008. Back in 98 I rode cross country and did 3400 miles in 7 weeks, so I must have had ~2000 miles in a month.

I would have throught with 578 hours in the saddle last year I'd have 1000 mile month but nope.
I guess I ride too slow my highest was only 868 (67 hours). Longest ride that month 66 miles.

I honestly think it's more important to ride as many days a week as you can instead of worrying about mileage. Riding often will take care of the mileage, what ever it ends up being.

I associate it with sticking to the process and let the results happen.

527.

I'm looking to break that in either May or October.

May 17th, Tour de Cure: Riding a 200k by doing the century plus to/from the start line. Then I'll commute to work for 4 days (160k), and on Friday 22nd I'll ride a 210k by doing the 7 Hills of Kirkland century plus to/from the start line. That's a 356 mile week. I should be able to get another 172 miles in the rest of the month.

It was piled into the 3 weeks leading up to my century ride on July 5th.I think I got a little burned out as a result, as my mileage fell off rapidly after that point. I'd like to string together 4 of those this year from May to August.

what fun is a thread if you dont answer it. for those of us that care about mileage i think its nice to compare to others then take it up a notch and beat those other guys. if your gonna beat your best or others best efforts then you will be spending a good part of your week on the saddle.

my best was 1280mi july of 08

I believe I hit 400 and change in August of this year. Having a 384 mile tour helps a lot.
