Starting up again! Great, and thanks.

I'm just going to try to maintain my weight, maybe lose another pound or two, but that's about it.

I am still working on portion control. That's going to be interesting as I increase intake to stop loosing!
I also need to get back to drinking water. I've slipped off to coffee due to the colder temps.

Forgot. I was 147 this morning.

I'll give it a go. Losing 2 pounds a week is one of my resolutions, anyhow. Might as well get some moral support to help me along :0)

edit: The doc wants me around 220, so I have a ways to go.

I'll take another crack at it. I fell off the wagon pretty hard. So lets see how long I last this time. Goal for the year is to get down under 200 (22 pounds less than today). SO lets see if I can take it off and keep it off.

Lets see, a bit of quick math 22 divided by 12 equals 2 lbs a month. Lets see if I can do that.

I've posted an intro here before, stating my goal to use my bike to get back in shape. I have been riding a bit, but just maintaining. I've seen these "biggest loser" posts going back to October, but felt weird hopping in in the middle.

I need a new battery for my scale, but consider me in.

Very soon I'll be in possession of my brand new 2007 Jamis Nova, purchased off ebay this weekend. Its taking the place of a too-small-for-me 2005 Specialized Sequoia. That, portion control, and hitting the gym when I can't ride are going to make for a nice 2009.

My brother just got a 2008 Trek 2.1 so I'll have someone to ride with more often than I do now, and someone to work with on doing a century or two this summer.

Back to the trainer for another 15 minute set.

OK, after last season, I was able to make it through the holidays with a net loss over my pre-holiday weight. Now it is a new year and a fresh start, so I am glad to join up again.

Current Weight: 257.5 Goal Weight: 256

Goals:
Gym Three times, one of which is spinning class
Control fatty and salty food intake
Drink plenty of water

Good luck to everyone, both returning and new to this series of threads. If you are on the fence, seriously give it a try. It don't cost nuthin', and the accountability can be a good thing.

Start weight - 280. There, I've said it.
Goals this week -
Drop a pound
Drink more
Get on the trainer three times this week
or two.
water.
and ride.

I've just committed myself (and Libby) to ride the GOBA in June. I'd like to drop 20 pounds by then, and be a stronger rider.

Please count me in. I'll weigh in and officially start tomorrow. I'm excited about this. Threads like this really help keep me motivated.

Official numbers tomorrow, but I weigh roughly 230 lbs and would like to get down to 175.

Thanks, I needed that.

Goal for this week - no weight gain (small steps) - any loss this week is a bonus as I have a 60+ hour work week ahead of me.

I forgot to weigh myself this AM so I'll do it tonight before bed.
