2008 Novara Randonee Pricing?

I recently was in rei and saw a couple of 2008 Novara Randonee's. The price was around $709.

Anyone ever saw previous year models with a lower price than this?

Well, yeah, but it's been about 14 years. We have one. Bought it in the mid '90s for around $550. I expect $709 is about right.

Some sort of pithy irrelevant one-liner should go here.

No, it makes me want to cry though. I have a 08 Randonee, paid full price for it. It was worth what I paid too. Would have been even better $200 cheaper, but oh well. If it's your size, go snap it up before some other lucky person does. It's a nice bike.
