Book identification help
I don't remember the title, or I wouldn't need help.
The cover sports a side view of a naked fat man on a bike, and it's about his journey to weight loss and better health. through cycling.
Anyone know what book I'm talking about? I wanted to get it a few months back but didn't have the extra money to even buy a book, now I do and I can't remember it.

I started reading this last night and again today. Being my last semester in college and writing 500 pages thus far, this book is very hard to read. It is not the content itself, but all the grammatical errors. I feel as I am forcing myself to read it.
He definitely wins world record for most commas in a book, thats for sure.

I am a big fan of Mike.
But... the book was expanded off a Bicycling magazine article titled "Don't try this at home".
It is one of my all time favorite Bicycling articles. It has all of the good stuff
from the book, none of the filler. Bicycling may be able to get you a reprint.

OOH who cares aboout the commas...(I have a ton of misteaks in my posts). I LOVED this book! I just love reading a stroy close to my own. Ok so I do not hope to pose nude on the bike....but am loving the impact of biking on my body - and am looking forward to one day doing the mountains..or maybe a few centuries this year. I loved reading it. He definitely was a tad crazy - but by his own admission!

Just finished chapter 14 and oh boy does the book make me hungry.
I am definitely liking the book more and more though. Im hoping to finish it this weekend and am already planning on rereading it at some point in the future.

Ok I read the book and I am left with the feeling that I want it to go on. Dang it. I really liked it overall and definitely got used to his writing. Matter of fact is has affect a few of my essays from this week.

I got this book from the library the past week.
His writing style bugs me. I read a couple chapters, put it down for a few days, picked it back up, read some more, and then tossed it in annoyance.
It's not grammatical errors...the author is a professor of creative writing, and so obviously it's a style that he's worked hard on crafting. It's better suited to fiction, i think.
Plus I couldn't identify with his own story. Smoking/drinking/partying is not me.

I enjoyed Heft on Wheels, even though I don't have a past such as the author's.

That's actually very much like me.
I party, drink and smoke. Not cigarettes though(cannabis).
I only smoke cigs when I'm blackout drunk and that rarely happens(~once a year).
