Goals for February
I am working on setting goals for the month, having been off bike since November, until getting a trainer last week, numbers are currently fairly low, 117km, around 73 miles. Does anyone else set a goal for each month, and if so, how often do you meet or exceed your goal?
See my blog at the end of the month to see if I was successful or not....

Some of us have been starting threads about riding goals i.e. 300 mile a month, 500 mile a month. Maybe start one of your own, doing it as a group may help motivate you and others to work together. Even if it is to ride twice a week or something lighter.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

My February goal is to try to ditch the cane.

My goal is to ride my bike to work every work day in February. But that's about it since I don't have a trainer yet and don't have a strong desire to do much recreational biking this time of year in these road conditions in the Boston area.

I don't really have a monthly goal but 2009 goal includes 200 days on a bike, either trainer, spin class, or on road. So basically I have to be on th ebike 18 days of every month.

Good luck with that.
Thanks to everyone for their replies. Last year, at this time, I carefully made a chart of goals for the year, it then rained about 5 days out of 7, once it quit snowing 5 days out of 7...... This continued through the spring, summer and fall. How I managed to get half what I did in 2007, really amazes me, I also failed the goal completely.
This years goal will be designed differently, in that I will set the goals on a monthly basis, so if life gets in the way, I can adjust the goals as we go....
