Probably not, but you need to realise that, when it comes to reality TV, it's 1% reality and 99% TV, just about everything that is shown on screen is directed, managed, scripted or heavily edited, to make good TV. I am not saying that participants in TBL don't lose the weight, but what you see on screen and actual reality, may bear little resemblance.

Often participants need to get a SAG permit and are paid union scale rates for their time in production, so even the non-winners can come away with a healthy amount of cash......
