    Chorus @ 230lbs?

    All i can find from Campy is "be dilligent if you are > 180lbs...."

    anyone experience any issues running Campy or Chorus specifically at that weight or better? really thinking of moving up to 11...

    I don't think the compnenets are really goona care. Wheel sets might, but the components shouldn't.

    I have to give the disclaimer that I don't have any experience with 11 speed stuff. If it's all carbon, there might be a crank issue for longevity given the torque we can put down when we get out of the saddle. That being said I doubt we out torque Cavandish or Boonen in a field bunch sprint.

    I'm not a huge fan of the diminished chain and cassette life after Campy went past 9 speed, so I have 8 and 9 speed stuff, but will probably make the move to 10 speed sometime this year on a new build. Actually ShimaNO 10 sp chains and cassettes don't last as long either.

    Nothing to worry about no matter how big you are it's unlikely you are generating the same wattage or power as a pro rider, and as many say campy wears in not out.

    Campy just doesn't want fat people using their equipment. Louis Garneau is the same.
    Bikes use brakes to stop.

    If your bike has breaks, don't ride it.

    I was 232 when I bought my Calfee with Campy Chorus. Later I replaced the 53/39 with a triple 53/42/30 and again Campy Chorus. I haven't had any problem with them. Now if you are planning on moving to an Ultra Torque, it is even stiffer than the Campy square bottom bracket.
