Well done mate. Inspirational. I get stoked when I see people making positive life changing choices. Adversity makes you one tough hombre.

good work brother. I now what it feels like to loose 100lbs. You loose a person and feel like a new person at the same time. Great feeling.
The way i lost it was pretty extreme. I ate nothing but raw fruits and vegetables and the 100lbs flew off in about 3-5 months without exercising. Can't remember how long it took but it was crazy fast. I was dropping about 5 lbs a week (not sure how healthy that is) but everything i ate was healthy and i never "cheated." I went from 280 to 180.
Keep up the good work and I hope you reach your goal and ideal weight.

I have One tip i can offer. When dropping so much weight don't buy new outfits or you'll end up giving away clothes you bought a month ago to your friends and it will get expensive. I speak from experience.

I can't help but think that's horrible advice. I went from a size 60 waist to a 46. I'd hate to imagine trying to keep those old pants up now. Part of losing weight is losing a negative self-image, and looking good is part of it.

I got rid of all my fat clothes and replaced them as I went along. The trick to reduce cost is to shop wisely, and include second-hand items.

Yeah, I've gotten some really good clothes at the Salvation Army, and they cost nearly nothing.

The reason i made this statement is because it was very costly for me as i was loosing and average of 5lbs a week, along with inches.

But like you said shopping second hand would be better. It would have been great for me being that my waist sized shrunk every few weeks.
I have a buddy that goes shopping for clothes at ross/marshals quite a bit. When he finds something he likes and the size is to big he'll take it in to tailor to get it altered and it only cost him a couple of bucks. Its a great idea and if i would have met him earlier i probably would have just have my clothes altered and save a bunch of money.

Is there a thread in this forum that discusses how to deal with the weight flying off and dealing with clothes that have become oversized?
