N+1 strikes again
Yep, I bought another bike last night. I picked out one of these. The test ride was a lot of fun - rolling those fat tires over curbs and other terrain that I wouldn't take my other bikes anywhere near. I've never done mountain biking before, but it's always looked like it'd be a great time and I've got a friend that's been bugging me to try it, so I figured I'd give it a shot.
I get to pick it up after work so I'll post some pictures tonight or tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to checking out some trails.

That looks nice. Give us a review after you ride some trails.

Woot! Woot!
Very nice. I hope you enjoy the trails. I tasted the Mountain Bike Kool-Aid a couple years ago, and I have not been the same since. I LOVE to get on my bike. Most times, I don't care how fast, how far and in some cases even where. I just like to ride.
Look at that smile
Trails are great, but you can turn an urban area into off road as well.
Congrats, that is a great looking bike.

I got it home! The weather wasn't great yesterday, so I only have a couple crappy indoor shots. Hopefully I'll get a couple pictures this weekend of it out in it's natural habitat.
Those are some great pics jboyd - I hope I have as much fun as it looks like you're having.
You know, I'm probably more about the Kalishnikov part of my avatar than Kitty, so overall I think the black look suits me fine. I do have to come up with a name for it though...maybe I'll call it Kitty...put a little Hello-Kitty sticker on the seat tube or something.

That flat-black is sexy as heck . I really like that bike. I guess by looking at the fork that you have a lock-out? That really opens up the riding. For less technical rolling hills and smooth single track, you can lock the fork out and gain a ton of power efficiency.
OK, so lets see.... A Pinball Machine, Scale model trains, and some sort of light show thingy. I want to live at your house
Again, great looking bike. Hurry up and get it dirty. If you post very many pictures of a clean bike, the mountain bikers will start making fun of you Monday evening I went out and just for fun ran through a bunch of rain filled mud holes. i ended up with front and back mountain biker "skunk stripes"

Thanks...I love the flat black and yes, it does have a lockout on the fork. I was lucky that they still had one in that color in my size, or else I would have had to get red. Red is alright, but mmmmm...that black...
Yeah, we have our share of toys. My husband loves trains as you might have guessed from the N-scale layout and the G-scale tracks on the floor. The "light show thingy" is either the pa*****o machine that my bike is leaning against (if you or anyone you know wants a pa*****o machine, let me know!) or the dual lens rotator train headlight on the floor. The pinball machine is a lot of fun when we have it working - there's a lot to maintain on those things.

If we all would take our lead from the tandem folks purchase of a such a fine bicycle would only count as 1/2. N+1/2 sounds much more fiscally responsible than N+1! In my case I only have 2-1/2 bicycles 1/2 of which is on loan to one of my sons (his two bicycles are way too fancy to tow a trailer).

That sounds like a great justification Rick. I'll have to use that on my husband if he ever complains about how many bikes I have. haha

Name it Rush. It fits you politically and expresses the feeling the bike gives you.

I'm not a huge fan of Rush Limbaugh (I'm ultimately more Libertarian than Republican), but I still think that's a great name Neil. I think I'll use it. Thanks!
