Does 5'7" count as short?
At 5' 11" I accept that I am a member of the Walking UnTall,
So is the air clear up there?
i guess im short. it seems like everybody is taller than me.
i am 5'9" and i just realized that my only friends that are shorter than me are women. then still i think more than half of them are still taller than me what the heck is in the water!

I prefer the term "fireplug"
I'm 5'8" and shrinking.
We are as gods, we might as well get good at it.
When I was a young man, I had heard or read that average height for U.S. men was ~5'7".
30 years later, it's now 5' 9.5".
Men's heights at page 16.
The mean height for my age group is 5'9". Either I've always been an inch shorter than average, or a bunch of short guys have died since I stopped growing.
The women's averages are on page 14. (5' 3.8")

Add my name to the "under tall" list at 5'9". I prefer the term stocky At least that is what a lot of people have called me over the years.
