Went to Door County to help wifes brother in law put siding on a bunk house he built attached to the garage and do some fishing, finished the siding project and was just about ready to go fishing when I get a call from home, neighbors house brunt down and mine was slightly damaged as well. First picture is of my neighbors house, neighbor across the street was leaving and noticed flames coming from the front yard (gas pipe broke) and had time to get the my next door neighbor out before the house went up. My wife was in church and the fire department was going to break in the door to make sure no one was inside of our house, some one was smart enough to turn the door handle and walked in then we never lock our doors so we saved damaged to that.

Turns out my cold was actually tonsillitis. I got two goods days of antibiotics in me from Saturday morning to this morning and decided to run anyway. I had originally been aiming for a time of 1 hour and 10 minutes, but was very happy with the 1:12:36 that I was able to run under the circumstances. Now time to get back on the bike and recover from this running foolishness.

Got in a very short hike; there's a short trail through the woods that starts a few blocks from my house. We took it to an old boat launch off the Raritan River, perhaps a 10-minute walk. I failed utterly to get a kite in the air for more than a few seconds. The trail keeps going, but I'd have to bring a scythe along to walk there.

How horrible for you and your neighbor! I'm glad no one was injured.

I'm skipping the bike tour and instead car camping at French Creek State Park tonight. I might go for a brief hike while there.

i went for a short (long for me) ride in the country around Clarksville Tn. 25.5 miles averaging 11 mph. not bad for 320 man with bronchitis. i had to have several breaks to catch my breath but it was a great ride with plenty of rolling hills.

My son and I hooked up with some of the guys from the Great Lakes forum and rode 31.1 miles. It was a social, no drop ride. 200 feet of climbing over a two mile hill took just about all I had. Met some pretty cool people.

here's the thread about the ride with pics of the participants.
