How Many Holiday Weekend Miles/Or This Month?

Well, I got a free pass to ride since my daughter retired from the gym. Actually moving out of the immediate area so she will continue but without the ez traveling convenince, too far for me to travel on workdays.

So this month I have 490 miles with about 19,000 ft of climbing so far. I'll easily break the 500 mark this month!

This wekend was good. 60 miles on Saturday (6,000 ft) 42 on Sunday and 42 on Monday (holiday). Grand total of 144 for the weekend.

Gina's got 88. She sat out Saturday's hill climb!

Now if that DERN Condorita would slow down, she passed Gina on Bikejournal!

Today (Monday)

The month of May has me at just over 285 miles with almost 13600 feet of climbing. I will break 300 miles for the first time, but I am not the animal you are (yet). It does look like we both pedal some comparably hilling ground though.

I had 20 miles this weekend. Columbus is flat but I have a couple hundred feet of climbing for my 3 trips up the big hills.

I broke my old frame, but got my new one on friday, spent Saturday putting in together, and got in 50 miles between Sunday and Monday.

One thing I learned:

Steel > Auminum
(new frame is aluminum)

I only managed 80 for the weekend with about 3000 feet of climbing. I was hoping for much more, but one of the rides was with my 14 year old daughter, so the shorter distance was worth it I don't have any totals for the month, but I should be getting more outside mileage if the weather holds up for awhile.

Just shy of 100 for the weekend; just shy of 300 for the month.

Gina needs to ride more!

I did 180 over the long weekend with about 8000 feet. For the month I'm at 589 so far and 17,456 feet.

I've only gotten in about 70 miles for the month so far. I was going to do a nice ride on the holiday, but I broke a spoke, and that did some warpage to the rim, so I parked the bike for the weekend. I did get a ride of about 8 miles in with my wife, her on her mountain bike, and me on my "ghetto" single speed. We had fun, so all is well.

The conversation went something like this.

Me (to wife): Wanna go for a bike ride?
Her: OK! Hey kids! Wanna go for a bike ride?
Them: Are we stopping at Dairy Queen?
Her: No!
Them: Nah, we're not interested.
Her: OK, bye! Watch your little brother! C'mon honey, let's go!

I got in about 96 miles over the 3-day weekend, but I've got over 500 for the month. Maybe 1,900' of climbing (for the month), not 19,000', though.

Only 40 over the weekend. 270 for the month (so far). I should hit 300 for the first time since the 300 mile challenge in January. I'm happy with the mileage after all the rain this month.

It's gonna be a big climbing day tomorrow! Diablo and some other NorCal hills. Possibly 6 or 7000 feet and 60 or 65 miles.
