Cannondale Clicking when pedaling...solved

Hi all,

I have been having issues with my 02 4000Si when pedaling i got a clicking noise on every revolution. Finally figured out what it was...one of the chainring bolts had snapped off. Its the hollow barrel type. So i took out all of them and i am going to replace them all. Is this something that my local Bike shop can help me find? really want to get riding this weekend? Also the bike has roughly 2000 miles on it and i noticed that the outer chain ring has a section of teeth that are a little worn...should this be of any concern? Would you also suggest replacing the chain...has some rust on it but am going to soak it in oil over night and see how it comes out. I talk to guys that replace a chain every year if it needs it or not. This bike is still orginal i am sure.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

It's a standard part in stock, and replace them with steel chainring bolts. No worries.

There is a method of simply meassuring the chain to determine if it needs replacing. For instance here
I would not worry about the worn out teeth, unless they are significantly bad.
