I plan to. If things work out, I'll ride to the ride (about 10 miles), ride the ride, and ride back. That's what I did last year, on the 46.6-mile ride, so that gave me a Metric Century.

One of the guys on the bike ride today was saying the 100k route was out because of construction, but the website doesn't show that- shows the 50k route being cancelled.

Last year, this SEEMED like the hottest ride of the year. I think it was a combination of moderate heat, high humidity, and my lack of acclimatization to that heat- sort of the first hot ride of the year. I thought I was going to melt. The ice cream at the finish sure was nice.

There may be a post in the Texas forum on the ride, too, by the way.

I have in laws coming in the week after. It will all depend on how much I get done during the week this week to free up my Saturday.

Of course, there may more plans than I am aware of at this point........

You should invite your inlaws on the ride as well.

I am registered. Did my first metric century yesterday with the FWBA...wow. It was a rather difficult course, and I almost did not make it, but with a bit of help I pushed through.

The problem is the ride a few days before they arrive. I have recently learned nothing we own is worthy of the outside world viewing and much painting to match new colors must be accomplished.

The worst thing is my bike room has come under scrutiny. She wants to put furniture in the game room. There has even been mention of the bikes going to the garage! The insanity is never ending.
