Crashed! (No, not me, it was the wife!)
Well, crazylady has joined the ranks of those that have crashed. She rides a recumbent trike, and it went over on her today in a turn (A little too fast and too tight a turn on a Delta Config trike). Nothing really hurt but her pride, she has a bit of road rash on her left leg, a bruised shoulder and a cracked helmet, but is resting comfortably right now.
Her clipless pedals kept her latched to the trike nicely, and protected her from a hip injury, so that's good, and she tucked right on her way over to protect her face, neck and head. She's already planning a ride tomorrow, as soon as I get her a new helmet.

I was glad she wasn't hurt, either. She almost got it back, by the way, she sure tried.

Jeez, glad she's OK. Tell her to save it for the turns at Indy!
Was the first thing she did after getting untangled hop up and check out the trike to see if it was OK?
Thumbs up for her jumping back in tomorrow.

Good for Mrs. S getting back on though, I think if my wife crashed, we would be selling her bicycle.

Well, she got a little loosenup ride today. We're temporarily car free, though since the van is in the shop, anyway. She did pretty well, and actually held her fastest average speed ever, too. Averaging 12 mph on an EZ3 SX is flying along. She's born again hard as nails. It wasn't a long ride, really, just to the Grocery a couple miles away. She rode Teal Road, though, which is a heavy traffic area. Excellent!

Glad to hear she's ok. On the plus side, its a badge of honor and gives her mad street cred.

It's funny really, a car with a scrape on the side, gets one pitied, poor sod can't afford to get it fixed. A bicycle with a scrape on the side, gets one admired, hey there goes a serious rider, even after a crash, they got back on and rode some more.
