Another New Bike for Larry

As a Clyde with a non-average build, ie: long-ish torso and short legs, it's hard to find a bike that works for me. Earlier this year, I built up a Masi Commuter as a Randonneuse, hoping that it would be the holy grail. It wasn't. It's on eBay now.

Here's my latest attempt, and so far it looks promising.

Nice setup, what bar tape are you using? Kinda silly but i really like the look, and it doesn't look to thick either.

It's RavX Stitch wrap.
https://www.thebicyclegarage.net/ravx.html

I actually have Serfas gel pads under the wrap, so it would be even thinner than it looks in the pics if you don't use the gel stuff.

Fix that rear fender with some spacers. Otherwise it's a great looking ride.

Is that a Cross frame? Looks awesome, and the red adds at least 5mph.

Those fenders are temporary. I'm getting Honjos as soon as I can afford them. Poor bike shop employee and all that...

It's a 650B "All-Rounder" frame. Can be used for mountain, road, touring, brevets, etc. I wouldn't have picked red, but I didn't have a choice. lol.

I am built like you 6' tall 52 inch shoulders, long arms, 28/29 inch inseam. Try a Giant OCR in MED. I rode one very comfy for me.

Specialty brand I can get away with. Giant is our competition. So.....no, no Giants for me.

Strategically placed duct-tape means you can tell everyone it's a Huffy.

Even with duct tape, most people could pick out the cheesy graphics of a Giant.....
