Aggravating Specialized Policy....

My lbs told me last week that Specialized was out of their
"Sport" model bicycle short in size XL

The Sport model seems to work ok for me ($64.99) and I wanted to
another pair so I would not have to wash (the shorts) so frequently.

I googled'em and found some stores had them in stock but
the asterisk said that they must be picked up at the store...

I can see restricting sales of the bikes, but shorts?

Grumble....

Specialized, Trek, and others with a full line of accessories like to keep their dealer chain in business by requiring store pick up.

Strange... The Specialized website seems to tell me that the lycra "Sport" short is available in size XL and they're happy to ship it to my doorstep. I didn't actually buy a pair, so it's possible they I'd end up with a back-order at some point, but the initial indications seem to be that they're available.

Ah, thank you...

I had to call Specialized as I did not see any way to create an account.

The trick is that one has to choose the US as the region of interest.

They did have the Sport Short in XL and it is on the way
