Gained 5lbs in Vegas :-(

I knew it wouldn't be pretty... with all of the buffets, margaritas, and more buffets. I just didn't think it was going to be THAT bad. eek. Bike, I'm back. Does anyone else have any vacation buzz-kills like mine? I was almost sub 200. 203lbs when I left. Looks like it's going to be a few more weeks.

Not yet, but we're going on one soon and I won't be bringing a bike. Just too much time filled up visiting family members. I guess I'll find out! I am going to make a concerted effort to eat well and not eat too much. With not much exercise that week, it'll be tough.

I just had a training week where I was out of town, and that usually ends up in a weight gain, but I took my bike with me and rode in the evenings instead of sitting around the hotel bored, then going out and eating something.

Next time you go to Vegas, spend less time eating and more time frolicking with the immoral women. They are more fun than any buffet table.

Apparently what you do in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas.

Try taking all the money you won out of your wallet, and getting on the scale again.

Ah..... The Vegas Vacation.

The wife and I were in Vegas for six days during May and we had a great time! I remember the buffets and the drinks, and the drink coupons... and the card clickers, and all that other stuff. If you only gained 5 pounds, then my friend, you've won. I really mean that!

We spent so much time walking up and down that boulevard it's ridiculous. And most ridiculous, when using the pedestrian bridges you almost have to pass through the casinos. Going from Excalibur to MGM via New York New York we passed two HaagenDaas stands, a bakery stand, three bars , and ahost of other food schilling places. Not to mention the easy availablility of all things alchohol while gambling, or even waiting for a show or dining.

So if you only gained five pounds you've won. Remember, we exercise to lose weight, and so that we can still enjoy some of the things we like to eat. As long as you don't overindulge too often, the occasional foray fom the path is something to fear, bu not dread.

I had a training class in New Orleans a few months before Katrina and I gained a few lbs. too. I even rented a bike while I was there and at least got in one ride. Couldn't stay out of the Jumbalya, or the Oyster Po' Bo's
