64 CM Schwinn Premis ...
I have the 'other post' about an Azuki...
done a bit of research all leads back here...
.
not really a vintage question... found the tall seamless cho-moly frame...
.
bike looks pretty stock...
.
here I am 6'6" 290 (post surgery can hit 250 pretty quick with a little work...) ...
.
what on this bike do I need to look out for right away??? new rims? stainless spokes?
.
I'm thinking new rims with new spokes and new tires, new saddle, better wrap on bars.
.
should the factory seat post be able to handle me?
.
are the gears up to snuff? split riding time between Littleton CO and flat-town NE...

OK this Air didnt cover in the sticky...
.
current weight 280-290 (some already coming off!)
.
bike already has 700c weinmmers or something counts to a 34 spoke wheel?? <34 spoke is that right? I counted thrice!>
.
any advice on wheels, hubs and spokes...(36 count I know )**********?
.
I will hit 250 pretty quick and plan on loosing the 50 part soon after...
.
so I guess I wont need super-bomb wheels the whole time... but they could have resale correct???

I'd look into a Thomson seatpost.
Ride until you pop a spoke, then respoke with Swiss ST spokes. If you keep having problems, you may have to go to a 38-40 count on the rear wheel.
