I actually did 2 rides on Saturday. I did a 35 mile loop with my cross bike and came home, switched to my road bike and did the same 35 mile loop. So, 70 miles total with about 2200 feet of climbing. It was more of a training ride to get me ready for this weekends century ride on the Covered Bridge tour. By the way, how did the MS 150 go?

It went well. Was able to complete the century. I was very happy considering my longest ride until then was 50 miles (and only once). I learned a couple very important lessons. Lesson #1. I felt really good and got over confident I could finish at the 80 mile mark. I blitzed through a rest stop without really taking enough time, didn't eat or drink anything. Just filled up my bottles and left. It was upper 90s by then. What a mistake. I went from feeling great to bonking. But I was able to recover and limp in to finish. Lesson #2. I can't believe how hungry I've been the last couple days. I guess just replenishing what I lost.
Good luck this weekend. I'm really considering trying to ride the peach with you guys. It looks like it covers much of the same roads (area) as the MS150.

Hill-Pumper, I will try to make it. Not sure yet but I sure will try. It would be great fun. Could we do it early morning, leaving the rest of day for other family stuff ?

Hey TC, I posted an update that is on page 2 now, so I'll re post it here.
I have kind of let this slide a little, but September 5th is getting closer, and I need some input for those who wish to go on this ride. We have plenty of space left and would love to have anyone else who would like to come join us. Friends and family welcome to join in of course. I have a proposed route of 41.5 mile with 2 rest stops planned. There is 585 feet of climbing, and Mrs. Hill-Pumper has said that she is willing to run support if needed.
HERE is a link to the route that I have chosen, but I can change it if we would like to do more mileage (or hills). So, any thoughts/input would be appreciated.
Here is the other proposed information to date.
Date: September 5, 2009
Place: Albany, Oregon K-Mart parking lot behind the old gas station
Time: 9:00 AM
So, if there is any other questions I need to address, let me know.
