Any Oregon Clydes interested in doing an all Clyde Metric?
I have been thinking about doing this for awhile, but I thought that I would throw it out there to see if there is enough interest for me to put some effort into getting this going. While riding with forum member timmythology, he mentioned that he would like to do the self supported metric route that I did some time. I thought it might be fun to a few members here together and enjoy the ride as a group. The ride I have in mind is a 62 mile metric century. It would start and end in Albany Oregon, and includes portions of 4 counties. The route has about 1700 of elevation with only one or two hills that might be a problem for some riders. I have two stops at parks that have water and store to get water for a third stop. I am still looking for another option for that though. This would NOT be a supported ride. so riders would need to be prepared for things like flats, food and such. I might be able to talk my wife into meeting us at one of the parks with food if we can plan this out right. So, any takers? I am doing this ride August 1, 2009 regardless if anyone comes or not, but a few fellow Clydes going would be more then welcome!!!! :thumb:
