a few words at least.
Following in Mr. Beanz footsteps (err, tiretracks?), I also changed it up and went for a mtb ride today in the hills above the local reservoir. Here's a few pics from the outing.

Looks awesome, I booked tickets to Colorado yesterday. I can't wait to ride up to Trail Ridge, 7000ft of climbing, I feel like a stronger rider than my first attempt. I'm still gonna use a triple though.

I like the idea too! Since my road bike isn't clyde proofed yet I started riding the MTB out on rural county roads... the middle 2/3 of the 12 mile ride was on dirt and man those hills suck with all the additional friction!!! but as soon as I got back on the pavement man I was flying, for being on a MTB... also I noticed that dirt road hills are a little steeper than paved roads as well...
.
I think even when the roadie is up and running 1/3 to 1/2 of my weekly miles will be on the dirt plus trips into the hills for the fun of it...
.
I can't wait I think I got hooked...
