106 Today, But Hey! Somebody Has To Ride!
It was only 97 so not so bad. But it's suppose to get up to 106 today. I could feel the heat coming as I did my usual rt that heads up to Devore (well known big fire area). It was dry but I want my miles!:D
40 miles and 5 large bottles of water later, I'm home! Long and dry http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3465/...18a9bd4c_o.jpg Pffft! Wish I could do 25! http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2493/...47f78242_o.jpg It's like desert up here! http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2574/...25e2e7a5_o.jpg Hey, I'm starting to sweat. And Gina gets upset cause I won't give up my favorite training gloves. I doubt I'll find another set with ventilation like this!:D http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3520/...925a755d_o.jpg OK, 20 miles from home, & out of water. Time for the Great Pumpkin to head back home! http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3482/...d36fe535_o.jpg |
That is above my cutoff temperature. I packed it in when things went above 105 up here.

I could tell that my glutes and legs were a little fatigued. I figured from the heat but come to find out, the last mile of the climb I did yesterday is 13% according to another poster that looked it up. I guess that would explain it.:D
Yesterday's final climb, remind me to do it at the beginning next time, not the end of the ride!:p http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3460/...8acc00bf_o.jpg |
