season mileage
What kind of season mileage has anyone added up this year. I am still riding but the sunlight in the east is not helping anymore. 700 miles this season and I hope to close in on 1000. My son says if I don't get the 1000 it would be like doing 75 in a century ride. ECB1

Risking the possibility of seeming like I'm showing off, I'm currently at 4836 on the year with 177,000 feet climbed or 36.6 feet/mile.
I'm riding again tomorrow, and expect to easily pass 6000 for the year.

I started on March 20th weighing probably 275 to 280 and will pass 1,000 miles after tomorrow's ride. I'm at 983 as of a few minutes ago. I weighed 229 this morning.

Also not showing off, but I will be at 5,000 by the end of the week and may hit 7,000 for the year. FWIW there is no season for me. I commute and I do it year round for the most part.

I'm around 2K at this point. Not where I wanted to be but a couple of injuries early in the year coupled with a busy summer have conspired to keep me from riding as much as I'd like.

roughly 1500 for the year...i lost 2 months of summer with a twisted ankle (bachelor party), got married, and bought a house. So i didn't have as much time to ride as I wanted. The last couple weeks I have finally gotten into it and should cross 2,000 for the year
(I also only really keep track of the road bike, but I ride the Mtb and commuter on
occasion)
However I went below 220lb for the last 8 weeks which was a goal of mine. 200 Is the next biggie, but it may need to wait for next spring/summer.

A horrible season so far, year to date 804 km (499mi), compared to last year when I thought it was bad with 1126km (700mi), because in 2007 I was at 1719km (1068 mi) by this point in the season. There is about another month to the outdoor season, but we are losing the light much earlier, sunset is now around 7:30 here, and it seems to get dark much faster then it did even a month ago. I can ride after dark, as I have lights, but I don't like to. I think I need to move the rides to the morning, but after working all night, I am pooched.

3670 miles YTD.
I rode Monday & today and it is now dark when I get home. It's now time to use the headlights & taillights.
I'm targeting 5000 miles in 2009.

I started riding May 31 and am at 1,355 miles. I'll add about 105 this weekend, so I should hit 1,500 next week. I have an 85 mile charity ride set for later this month and a century planned for early October. With 100 to 110 miles per week on average, I should easily hit 2,000 before it gets too cold to keep that average up.

Been riding 21 months.
12,284 miles this year so far.
Was lucky and got 3652 miles on The 42 Ride.
Yes you have to ride in the dark to get that many miles.

2980 miles (doubled from last year) on a hybrid, and my old classic roadie.... 70% of those miles are from my work commute, but they count, don't they?

Those are some excelent mileage totals. I am jelous though of you all that can commute to work on your bikes. I would have a ton of trouble carrying my tools and materials with me , i'm a carpenter.
