Hey Guys- So It's official I am 178 - and I was 173 at some point on here...So I am thinking how bout a 10lb weight loss goal. (for now) I am not suffering- and have no intention of it - so I just plan to eat a tad less than I have. That should be doable since I have been entertaining/eating up a storm in my new house.

Monday - Went to the Gym -YAY :champ2: 30 minutes on the step mill (Anyone ever try that one - IT's a bear....a revolving set of stairs!!) I have not been to the gym in eons. WIll need to pay a one time upgrade fee to use the one near my new home - but will do so! I am back!!!
30 minutes Step Mill
15 minutes elliptical
60 Minutes body works class

Tuesday - Hmmmm.... 60 minute stationary bike

Wednesday - Workout class? Weights

Thursday - Step Mill & Elliptical

Friday - If it dries up - go for a ride.

Saturday - Ride

SUnday - 3 GAP maybe...

Drink a ton of water, eat salads, make sensible meals... no nuts.

You can do it! Just keep track of your calories and make adjustments as needed.

I'm still about the same. Hovering at 145 +/- 1

I had a very good week.

Started 255 lbs.
Ended 251 lbs.

It's getting harder each week to get the mileage in, but I'm still going at it. I had to do a Metric Century Sunday. It was a beautiful day here in Norther Michigan so it was a great ride.

Next week's goals:

Ride 120km
End the week at 248 lbs. and break that 250 barrier.

If I accomplish that I'm going to make a doctor's appointment so I can brag at him a bit. He's the one that told me to get a bike before I started having health problems. Great advice, eh!!

John

beginning of week at 201. Hoping to be below 200 next weigh in. I'm doing a century on Saturday so as long as I don't use that as justification to eat everything I should be okay.

I had a bad week, up 1.3 lbs from this time last week. Life got in the way of my riding last week, and then on Saturday we did the VA Wine Festival during the day and went to a friends 'Mexican Fiesta' that evening, so that meant lots of alcohol and lots of very unhealthy food. Don't get me wrong, we had a great time, but hopefully this week will turn out better.

I work in outside sales and my work laptop just bit the bullet, so I don't have a whole lot to do tomorrow while it's being repaired, so if the weather holds I hope to get in a metric century tomorrow.

Lost 1.5 pounds last week. I'm down to 278.5. I'm reading a new book Bike For Life: How to Ride to 100 by Wallack and Katovsky. Interesting read; very enjoyable. I'm going to incorporate the lifts, stretches, and yoga positions that they advocate. I did an off road ride at the farm this weekend. It was wet and humid. I had to stop twice to catch my breath and walked the bike up two hills after I gave out. Dang, that was fun! I gotta ride off road more often!!!

Well, I lost two pounds which is great, but I rode 200miles this past week and expected a much larger loss. Maybe next week.

Current Weight = 243
Last Week = 245
Lost = 2lbs

Just getting restarted on this road to weight loss. Got weighed at the doctors on Monday, and weigh a svelte 283 commuting to work everyday and eating healthy so hopefully this will drop off sooner rather than later.

Down to 245 1/4 this week, so I lost a lb and a half from last week's 2 lb gain. Back on the right track!

Had a nice 26 mile ride on Sunday. Rode really hard and fast. Had the average up to over 18mph for a while. Felt great.

Focus remains the diet. I have been having a harder and harder time eating healthy. It's just not as fun as it was earlier this year. I've got to try to remember that food is just my fuel!

Yes, I love that show, definitely a big inspiration for me. But, I don't watch it until Wednesday night, so no spoilers please!

[hijack] Does anyone know how to modify my current ticker, or am I required to create a new one every time I change my stats? I weighed myself on my home scale and got 275 but the doctors scale says 283 so I want to modify my ticker to the doctors numbers as they're most likely more accurate. [/hijack]

I am stuck at 200 lbs.
I am happy with that as I still get hugs and people tell me weekly that I look thin.
Cooler temps hit here last night, so my mileage will increase.

Just maybe this is my problem? Breakafst

Wow is she Tall and Thin.

I know I'm not supposed to post till Monday, but I'm starting my program today and I wanted to try and get involved with something that might help me stay committed to what I'm doing as soon as I started.

I used to be really active and then I had two really bad accidents. The second one was about three weeks after I finally healed up from the first. It put me out of commission for almost a year all told. I've been so out of shape and I've lost so much muscle mass that I haven't wanted anything to do with the active things I did before the accidents. I have been embarrassed to get involved because of the poor physical shape I'm in.

I know it's not my fault about the injuries and the initial weight gain, but it is my fault that I haven't done anything to fix it sooner.

So today I am giving up partying (during the week anyways), and pity parties are a thing of the past.

I'm going to start commuting to and from school. It's 14 miles each way so my plan is to drive 10 miles and bike 4 at first and increase that amount as I'm able.

Thanks for having this thread
