Down 25

I has some chest pain in March, joined the gym, had a Berkeley HeartLab blood test done, and became convince that I needed to start living "right" again. I rode a lot before I took up golf when I was 45. In May I bought a Trek 7.2 FX that I have ridden about 600 miles, and at my semi-annual assessment at the gym yesterday, I had lost 25 lbs. When I lose 18 more lbs, and get to 199, do I have to leave the forum?

That all depends... are you under 6' tall? If so, NO FORUM FOR YOU! Nah, you just get to join the emeritus club!

Good.

I am 58 next Saturday. When I was younger I was almost 6'2". Now I am 6' 0.025". LOL. This forum is where I go when I need inspiration, and I would hate to get kicked off.

I am tricking out the 7.2 for some light touring. I intend to do a 7 (or so) day trip to Upstate SC from near Knoxville, TN--spending a night on each side of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park--out and back by almost the same route.

If things go well, I will probably upgrade to either a Surley or better Trek, and when I retire in approximately 572 days, just go for it.
