End of the summer Bicycle Pics and mileage log.

Captain Cross-Chain here....(take a look at my bike drive trains)

Here are some end of the summer pics of my bicycles.

I started riding again May 2nd 2009.

2005 Trek 370 (my sisters friend gave it to me, which started all of this riding) 130 miles
2004 Giant Yukon Disc (my old mountain bike) 30 miles
2004 Schwinn Fastback Sport (Traded Trek 3700) 140 miles
2007 Cannondale Synapse Sport 3 (traded Schwinn plus a Sig Sauer P226 .40cal) 340 miles
2006 Cannondale F400 (traded yukon for it) 9 miles

Total mileage to date May 2nd to Sept 24 649 miles

That is a huge mileage number for me. I usually buy a 500-1000 dollar bike ride it for 60 miles and quit because it is hard work or not enough time etc etc.

Well I am ending the summer riding season on another new Cannondale. I bought a new old stock 2006 F400 one of the last USA made hardtails. I think in 2008 they atarted making all hardtail mountain bikes overseas. Now as of the 2010 model year all Cdales are made overseas I think it is a damn shame. That is one of the main reasons I liked buying Cannondales.

I really missed having my 1994 M400 Cannondale that I bought new my sophmore year of college. The F400 is similar to it in the lineup. I must admit I like Cannondales and would like to add some more new old stock USA made Cannondales to my collection.

Mr. Beanz has a point I do not really enjoy off-road riding (no mountains on Delmarva anyway). I use my mountain bikes to ride with the family. Take it camping and ride in the rain when I do not want to get my road bike grimy.

Ahh! From the looks of the tires, doesn't look like you've ridden it at all. That's why I said that but a family bike is good!

Love the color on this C'dale....

I have a small collection of Cannondales... (92-06) - and actually sold a couple this year.

Is that a T series touring bike? I like the color too. They look like wonderful steady and comfy long haul bikes. What year is that Cdale?
