New Riders

My wife and I have been riding 2 Schwinn cruisers . We are up to about 8
miles a day, We are looking to go further and faster. We have been looking at
the (Motobecane cafe express8) or The (Jamis citizen). Does anyone have any
thoughts about which of these bikes would be better? Or maybe another bike alltogether.
We are both in or 60s and are social riders
