"Regular" Fit
This weekend was the first time in a long time that I've been able to purchase a pair of jeans labeled as "Regular" fit. Not carpenter/workmans jeans. Not relaxed fit. Not loose fit.
My waist is back under 40". Although it's not like I'll ever wear a pair of 501s again (trust me, I tried a pair on and they're just not meant for a cyclist's quads or arse). Finally, I'm not too far off from having my waist and inseam back at the same measurement again.

It's a great feeling, isn't it?
After ~10 years of being in a 2X shirt and having jumped up to 44 loose fit pants a year ago just before buying the bike, I bought my "fall wardrobe" this year in 1X-Tall and 40 pants. 30lbs and several % less body fat made a big difference. I'm still in a loose fit pants ... for now.
Btw, my waist didn't start shrinking until I started doing crunches 3d a week --- someone here linked https://www.twohundredsitups.com and just a little extra work has made a big difference in my size.

6' 0" 220 Size 37. Down from 270. Yes we still qualify. I have a pair of size 36 in my closet that are just too tight. Another 10 pounds should do it.
My sliding goal is currently set at 200 to leave this group forever, no offense. Eventually hope to see 180.

You never really do leave this group. I'm a little guy, 5'7" and now 145. I wasn't not so very long ago. I've lost literally a foot (about 30cm for those of you on metric) from my waist (that's a lot for a short guy). I used to wear jeans. Not anymore. Jeans small enough in the waist don't have near enough room in the seat or thighs. Ah well.

I have not worn a "regular" size since high school, but that is mostly because I have always had a small waist with big quads. Even when I was at 26 percent body fat, my pants size was a tight 36. I bought a pair of shorts a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised to find out I needed a 32. I do have one pair of black Levi's jeans that I can squeeze into that I have not been able to wear for close to 10 years. When I can get into those comfortablely, I will consider my tranformation complete.

I know this was a joke, but come on. I wear 34 waist jeans and have a 34 inseam and still weigh over 250. I want to be under 200 and still be welcome here, because I will always be a clydesdale.

Cheers!
I finally had to break down and buy new pants a few weeks ago, and my 38 and 40 inch waist jeans weren't cutting it at work anymore. I was surprised that the 34's I tried on were loose, and the 32's were a little tight, but I'm getting down there. Great feeling
and great job!
