Odometer milestone!

Rolling over the big 4 thousand mile mark on my way home today! Year-end goal of 4500 is well in sight.

How's everone else doing on yearly mileage goals, or just mileage if you don't set any specific amount?

Good job. That is a lot of miles.

I did not set a goal for the year, in January a long ride for me was 12 miles so the goal would have been too low! I hit 1,000 in July, I hit 2,000 in Sept, and should pass 3,000 the first part of November.

congratulations!

I have no clue, surgery, never hooked my cat-eye up to my new bikes.

Dr. shut me off from riding... guess I'll start counting next spring...

I do know I rode off 40 pounds of fat... in however many miles I rode...

Awesome.
I'm (very slowly) on my way to the 40-pounds-lost mark. 3/4 of the way there.

Mr. Clyde, sounds like you've really been able to increase your per-ride mileage since the beginning of the year; Nice going!

I'm addicted! Yes, I was proud in mid-January when I rode the bike path to the freeway and back. That was about 14 miles round trip. Now, I get to that same spot and I'm just starting to feel warmed up.

Now the challenge will be keeping up the mileage with less daylight and cooler weather. I have a light on order, need to go buy some more cool weather cycling clothing.

Nice Clifton! I'm somewhere north of 1500. Not sure how much since I've been without a computer since late August. But probably just over 1600. Started with 8 mile max in February. Off the bike most of March and part of April for surgery. New bike is this week, hoping to clear 2000 for the year.

I didn't set a goal this year. I am going to figure out how many later this year. And yes, I will be using my roller miles to count the total miles.

Great job CliftonGK1. You're piling up the mileage. I hit 2700 today. I should exceed my goal of 3000 by a few hundred miles. Now if I can just do a century before the end of the year. That was my other goal.

Fine by me. If you sat on the bike and made the wheel turn, I say it counts.

Interesting 75 mile ride today. Temps 69* to 90*
Rained on three times and got sunburned.
Not going to make my goal of 20,000 miles.
Passed 13,600 today.
But did I ever have fun on The 42 Ride......

2782 miles YTD! No goals for Gina but this will be her 4th year in a row breaking 3,000 miles.

Saturday's 47 miler

I'm at 4963 for the year. Last few weeks been riding in the dirt for added fun. Some tough riding. Last ride was 2500 ft in 5 miles according to bud's Garmin, 3 times at 20% grades. Other course we hit 24% three different times. It's tough so I figure that ought to count as an extra thou!

I set no goals but expected to hit 4000 miles. Now I'm thinking I can break 6!

Last Friday

I want Beaner's riding area in my back yard!!! I probably would be taking pictures instead of riding though. I don't know if I could hit 6000 or not, but I will definitely think hard about 4,000 and still get in all of the swimming and running.

Hehehe! I'm lucky, a 6000 ft climb out of my front door. In the desert about 20 miles from my front door. An MTB trail about 4 miles away and a 60 mile flat trail (roundtrip) 30 minutes away.

I hate nightshift but seems I always end up there. Only good thing about it is ride time in the morning...IN 2005, I hit 7300 miles while working nights. Last few years, I've just been fat old and lazy!

I set a goal of 5K miles. I'm at 4600 and riding 150 miles a week, so I'll make it pretty easily. Have a baby coming in Nov. so I'm not sure if I'll make it 6K.

I don't think I can make the 6000+ mileage that some of you crazy kids are hitting, although next year's brevet season will put me well toward the 5000 mile mark for 2010. My schedule includes 6x 200k, 3x 300k, 2x 400k and 1x 600k. That will earn my R-12, R-3000k and SR for the season.

I have ~830 miles on my bike, which is over a year old I think maybe the computer got reset or something, though, because I thought it hit 800 a long time ago.

But I didn't ride for about 9 months due to a series of family tragedies so I guess riding only 830 miles isn't so bad either way.

I am riding now. (Well, not right now.)

Your computer probably got reset during the goat attack. I understand they're known for that.
