It's been cold and rainy for the last 4 days so I broke out the trainer yesterday. Didn't expect to ride it so soon. I didn't use it until the 2nd week of January last winter.
I forgot how much that thing hurts -- I did a steady 20 miles with a few progressive resistance intervals mixed in. It was hard, but not intense like a DVD workout. I just wanted to reacquaint myself with the machine. I was on it for 1:09:30. The last 4 miles were mind numbing. I don't know what it is about the trainer, but I totally lose focus somewhere between 45 minutes and an hour. The secret for me is to time my workouts for 50 minutes total with warm up and cool down.
