Bye Bye Clydesdales

12 years ago, I move to US from Europe. I was 23, 195cm (close to 6'5") and about 185lb. Quickly, I gained some weight and last 10 years I was over 200lb.

On November 2008, I was at my heaviest at 244lb. This morning the scale showed 198lb. To be honest, the last few pounds wasnt easy and I was bouncing between 201-203 for several weeks.

I knew that I have to change something in order to lose those few pounds as cycling wasnt working anymore so I added running to my training and bingo.

Anyway, it was pleasure to hang out with you but I wont miss you

Bye, bye Clydesdales.

I'm sorry to leave you behind but I'm out.

Good luck to all!

Jan

Clydesdale is a state of mind. Once a clyde, always a clyde...or something like that.

Congratulations on your weight loss! Keep up the great work and chime in from time to time. Share what worked for you and your expiriences with the weight loss/cycling process. It helps to show that yes in fact it can be done.

Hold on just a second there, Jan...I think that a clyde is defined as over 200 pounds or over 6' tall, so you're still one of us.

Nice try, though.

Grats on the weight loss! But, to leave so quickly? Is there no support for your brothers and sisters still in this group? Are you, and your personality only defined by your weight?

If that be the case, I pray to stay a Clyde forever! Yes, I wish , and plan, and AM losing weight - but as others have said above me, it is also a state of mind, or a state of being - are you now someone else entirely??

Perhaps I missed the point, and if so, I AM so very sorry! But to leave a group that you have been a part of simply because of a size or weight? Can you honestly tell me that when you see some skinnie-minnie that says she feels faint because she has missed her lunch by 10 minutes and is crashing - you can feel for her??? I mean C'mon, as a Clyde, most of us (due to our reserves) can easily miss 2-3 meals without drama...so a 10 minute late lunch causing a scene? You wanna be part of that crowd? ACK!

Good luck!!!:champ2: I know there are a ton of posts saying stay around and do!!~! However i think it would be fun to graduate... When I hit 145 I would like a huge party!!! I guess I would stay around and still hopefully lead a weight loss section - or post etc.... but man just thinking about the achievement is awesome.

You are great!!! Good job...come on in from time to time and let us know how you have and are changing your life to keep the weight off.

CONGRATS
