On Location....

Anyone ever ride on the filming 'location' for a movie? I have two films I need to see this winter because I've ridden my bike over places that appear in the film:

The Road - this end of civilization film uses abandoned tunnels on a former route of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. I, Bautieri, Neilfein, JAGraham, and other posters rode through them in May.

Film trailer:

Lovely Bones - a December release, this film was shot in nearby Royersford, on Main Street. The town was chosen because it still looks very much as it did in the 1970s. For some reason I don't have a single photo of Main Street in Rofo, but I have the same road in Spring City across the river.

Anyone else ride through a site where they shot a film?

Oh, and two others I've mentioned before:

The Blob (1958) - filmed at Annemarie's in Royersford, and the Colonial Theater in Phoenixville.

And, of course:

Rocky, and the sequels. Filmed all over Philadelphia, including the Art Museum and the multi-use paths that form part of the Schuylkill River Trail.

My street constantly has interiors being used for movies and TV, although not exteriors as far as I know. In the summer there are always trailers lined up and signs telling crew where to go.

Actually, I think our parking garage was used once. So yes, I have ridden through a set. I just haven't seen whatever was shot there.

This past year it was mostly two Canadian shows, 'Flashpoint' and 'The Border'. There was also a romantic comedy TV movie starring Tia & Tamera Mowry.

For those who've cycled in San Diego: the southern end of the Silver Strand on the Coronado Bayshore Bikeway has a military command that has recently been featured in the second Transformer's movie.
