Loss of a Legend
A few weeks ago I started a small thread called "Legends in our own minds".
In that thread I mentioned my good fortune in running into Pete and Joanne Penseyres on a Sunday morning ride. Though not a 'Clyde' topic, since I mentioned them here I felt that I should follow up.
With great sadness I learned last night of Joanne's passing a couple of weeks ago.
In the world of RAAM and other distance cycling events, Joanne was well known, to say the least:

In her own community she was just as active and touched more lives than can be counted:

Our thoughts and prayers are with Pete, his brother and sister in law Jim and Diane Penseyres, and their entire family.

For those of you who didn't know her, she was a great lady and it's a terrible loss to her family and the cycling community at large. She had been fighting that battle with Type 1 Diabetes for many years. If you every wanted to donate to a cause that is a good one!
