Little Bit-O-MTB fun today....vid and pics

Little bit of MTB fun today. Going up is easy to record. Going down? Well that' going to take some practice with he helmet cam. I should have checked 1/2way down but I didn't so I got lots of 5 foot in front of my wheel video hahaha!

Climb is about 5.5 miles but lots of steep stuff, 24% type happiness.

Looking down on Claremont/SanDimas area

Climbing climbing climbing!

Climbing the tough spot with one hand, and recording my face!

It's all little by little. When I first started, doing one loop around the park (easier course) was a real feat treat!..Now I do 3 loops for funzies. This climb was unthinkable but after some getting used to it, it's not that tough. I have MTB buds that think it's a real long tough climb. I sort of think it's too short!...Don't sell yourself short, it's all practice, little by little, foot by foot, then it becomes fun.

This is the profile for the climb. I took a different route the first two miles though. The first two of this profile is on the easy side acording to my friends. I went the tougher route for the first two, it's closer to home!

Thanks for sharing the pics. The view from the top always makes the climb worth it (that and the conditioning you get out of it). Temps are warming up here in the Northeast. Up into the 40s this weekend. Cabin fever setting it. Time to get out and ride. You have inspired to climb some MTB trails!!!

Not bad! Since the vids have started, I've been told several times that acting is not my thing!......I've done several Diabetes rides in my area, they were fun! This year, things are too tight!

That looks to be about a three hurl climb, maybe four. I spent some time in San Dimas back in 1971 and '72, thanks to cousins who would rescue me on weekends from Camp Pendleton. Seemed a little bit like heaven then.

I hear ya there, last year was the first time I kinda sorta broke even. I raised almost as much as it cost to get myself and the family over to Redmond for the ride lol. Gotta do it tho my honey is type 2.
Riding with CliftonCK1 again this year. its gonna be a blast!
