My First Century! so very proud of myself!

So I finally did it.

I set a goal 5 months ago that on Febuary 13 i would ride in the Jalapeno 100. A goal that i believed would be impossible considering i was 309 pounds. After months of training and staying active, i finally did it! I finished my first century! well actually it was 106.7 mile! Goals are made to be done! i have lost 86 lbs on the journey, and feel so good for taking it! I am so proud of myself..

The ride! My new felt that i got 4 days ago, it made it perfect.. super smooth and still clean! carbon feels so much smoother than my old trek 7.3 fx

I FINISHED! lol

Way to go. I hope one day I can complete a century. The furthest I've gone is about 16 miles. But now that I finally got myself a road bike I plan on really racking them up. Still haven't gotten to take it out yet. This weekend hopefully...

Congratulation on the effort.

Yea lol. I did not want to use my clip shoes yet till I get used to the bike. Wouldn't want to scratch my baby and fall. Just got the bike last week

That is so awesome, congratulations!!!
I've in training right now for a 65 mile ride in April, and then a 100 mile ride in August. I'm currently at 275 lbs. I just bought my road bike and waiting for it to be delivered to the bike shop.
You are truly an inspiration Sir, thank you for posting!

Dude, That is one Kick'n Job! Anytime someone can go from uber-300 to just over 200, they have indeed done something amazing.

Good luck moving forward.
