2/22 weight in at 235.0, down 1.5 from last week (236.5) - respectible...

Overall goal is around 180, so I've got a ways to go...

I'm starting to mix in P90X core and upper body workouts in with my cycling workouts. I biked 24 miles last week, 15 of them outdoors (Michigan)... Total exercise time was only 3.25 hours (1.5 biking and 1.75 other). I was still getting over a cold so I didn't start any exercise until Thursday last week. I'm going to do better this week.

Last Wednesday was the worse day in food, breaking down and having a can of diet pepsi to start and ending up with the largest dinner I've had since thanksgiving... I was pretty good the rest of the days. Getting on the scale Thursday convinced me that it was time to get back to the exercise.

Nine straight weeks of losing weight, 20 pounds down...

Let's see -- last week I went to the surgeon for the first "fill" of my band. It felt weird getting it done, and now I really do feel that I get full more quickly when I eat.

The outcome? Today I was 220 lbs. Let me put that in kilograms so you can tell why I was doing the happy dance: 99.79 kg Under 100 kilos for the first time in years! Celebrated by getting myself some new fun toys I'd been looking at for a while: the Vibram "five-fingers" shoes. Won't help much on the bike, but should make walking along the local trails more fun.

Finally, finally broke through the 200 barrier! Last week, 202.5. Today, 198.7, so that's down 3.8 lbs for the week. Had been up 1 lbs each of the last 2 weeks.
I exercised a little more, plus quit eating anything after 5:00 each day. Only thing after 5:00, water or herbal hot tea.

I'm was at 208 this morning. Only down 1 pound in the last two weeks. I feel like crap today. And it's been raining more so I haven't been riding as much as usual. Hoping to pick it up again in a couple days. I'm losing my enthusiasm for dieting. Scratch that. For my new lifestyle change.

226.5...down a pound and a half from last week.

Went to the Diabetes Doctor last Thursday and found out my a1c went up to 8.9 from 7.1...worst it has been in the 8-9 years ive been diabetic. Started on Lantus long acting insulin to get my morning blood sugar levels lower..now im determined to get the a1c down to where it was a few years ago..which gives me more motivation to ride more and eat less....

As far as goals...same as before

sort of a bad week for me, went up one pound to 282, but to be fair the past 3 weeks I've been on a plateau and the bad days haven't been on the Monday weigh-in. Still I've been a little bit lax on eating the bad stuff and drinking some pop, so if I don't knock it off it'll become an upward trend. I'm back on track today with eating healthy foods and riding the exercise bike.

Hey - OK so here are the rules!!! You can not leave this forum thread.....topic...you get the idea. So get back on the wagon and EVEN IF U DON'T come on in and post your weight and why/pow you gained. You will at least inspire us all to keep on going. I do mean that - but really I think the key to a year-long /life long weight loss/maintenance startegy is to not runaway. So last year I gained 10 - but for a person who used to be `100+ lbs overweight - gaining just 10 was an achievement. I do hope to lose a bunch this year - but I want to know y'all will be here if I start to gain and hopefully reign me in or come have mee committed. OK?

A bit of a summary in the style of Miss Bumble...

2007 - 106kg/235lb
2008 - 100kg/220lb
2009 - 95kg/210lb
2010 - 93.5kg/207lb

Slow progress, especially recently, but I'm a hell of a lot fitter.
