My first Duathlon - woo

Here video of it - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K24-5OVfpsc

Well guys this was my first race event of the year, It was a great event but i was a little disappointed with my legs on the last 2 mile run. Lungs were good but the legs/back just felt like a mess (cramping, etc). Next event its on like donkey kong!! i started calorie counting now as i'm just working out way to hard to "eat what i want, as long as i workout" ..I'd love to have a Top 20 finish in 2010 at something haha .. My first lap on the bike was probably too much (avg'd around 19-20) and i need to pace myself better. i did catch and passed a bunch of the faster runners on the bike..but dang that last run negated it all! hahah

Oh and while it's not the most important thing.. being a decent way from last place is A NICE!!! hahah

Here's to catching them sleeping as a Clydesdale/Athena... and to getting faster while losing the weight!

Thanks for letting me share folks! I loves me some Bikeforums!

That's awesome! Congrats. I really liked the video. The nearest duathlon to me involves a 5k, 14 mile bike and a 5k. I could handle 4 miles but 6.2 is a little too much.

You guys should be very proud of yourselves.

The problem with Duathlons is the damned running. Running is evil.

ShawnP - Thanks man much appreciated!

Beanz - Thanks! I know man...i didnt pace myself right.. last year i was up to 20 mph in a 20k TT .. but between the running and pacing..i for sure underestimated how much juice i used up on the run. My next one however!! ohhhh its on. Yes, i'm competitive and no she won't beat me hahaha.

That all being said.. lisa is competitive as heck! she's doing a half-marathon this weekend at the cowtown!!!! i'll be there filming her and another person for content... but she's NO slouch!! starts slow finishes faster.. my works cut out for me
