Sunday ride video and a couple sweet Calfee tandem pics

Sunday's ride video. Cool gathering with friends at the coast then a nice ride back.

I've met this couple before but never had the chance to get a picture of their tandem. I did better, some video and a couple still shots. I've seen others post nice tandem pics and a few in person, but this is the sweetest I've ever seen!

They did the Palmsprings century a few weeks ago. They aren't forum members but I told them I'd be posting it her so hopefully the chime in!

Frank and Debbie with their sweet Calfee

Everything is Calfee cabon, cranks, stems, handlebars. The rack is Bontrager but it matches and is the only thing that isn't Calfee carbon.

Tandem is the first section of my video, some BF'ers and friends riding too. I know, I said drum brake but they are disc brakes! Live interviews are tough!

Sweet tandem ride. Looks like you all a lot of fun. By the way what is that blue stuff in the sky, I don't think I've seen that in a few months? Looks like some seriously nice weather. We've had clouds and mostly wet snow for the last week. We only got about a foot so no big deal, none the less we are FAR away from riding in short here in the frozen North. I can't complain. This morning it was a balmy 31F. LAst year on March 1st it was 12F. Only a few more days with light snow in the forecast and then we may get a 5 day stretch of sun and above freezing temps.

Enjoy the ride,
André

It's amazing! It POURED Saturday evening! We didn't ride Sat since it was raining pretty good and figured Sunday was a wash. Woke up in the morning and it was dry! There were flash flood warnings on Sat night. When it rains, it rains hard, you think it's going to go on for day , but an hour later....

Downw the road from where we are in the pics, the roads were flooded waist high. It was all over the news (Seal Beach) but the trail was cool, few flooded spots but not much, nothing compared to your snow.

This was a few miles down th road from where we were sitting. Big waves and rain flooded the coastal streets, but the sky was blue!
