Todays Ride (pics)

Didn't have my son with me today and I couldn't talk anyone into going out in the 1c temps so I decided on a training ride. My intention was go 90km across some pretty rolling terrian but the headwind out was brutal and after 25k I almost turned around. Decided to soilder on and do some hill repeats. I went to our the hill many in area use as a fitness guage and did it 5 times, I only did it 4 time total last year never repeats. I realize it's not a mountain and I will never say it is but it's a real good test on the legs. 1.2km and averages 12% grade. One guy I know went to France for the 'Etape du Tour and would do this sucker 21 times to prepare for Mt.Ventoux he actually said as brutal as Mt.Ventoux was doing 21 repeats on this hill sucked too. All said I got in 91km.
Used in a charity ride I helped set up, sign still there from last year.

Looking up

Yeah

View from top

Going down, you can hit well over 80km/h on this hill but not this time of year to much sand on road.

Keeping track, 5 lines = time to go home.

nice hill pics. I've often found that hills don't look nearly as big as they are in reality but that one does! my a*s hurts just looking at it!

Great pictures. I hope to be in good enough shape someday to tackle some hills as well.

Looks like a tough hill climb you had there.
I was doing hill repeats at the end of my ride Saturday. Almost 7/10's of a mile, but it does have a couple flat spots on the way up. Did 4 repeats, and felt it was a pretty good workout. I don't have any pics, but here's the profile.

Looks a lot like my close hill from the bottom. Looks scary and dangerous from the top though, my hill is only good for 55 on a calm day.

(I mean scary and dangerous to my heart.)

Close, over towards Newtenville. There are some pretty nasty climbs over by Mosport that's for sure.
